cutieverse2As most of you know, trying all sorts of beauty products was what I once did for a living.

So when Rebecca Pilapil of contacted me and asked if I’d be interested in reviewing some of their organic beauty goodies, I happily accepted her offer. is an online shop that aims to bring all things nice, cute, vegan, and certified organic to our doorsteps. They are the exclusive  Philippine distributors of brands like Hurraw!, Merry Hempsters, Raw Elements, and Marilou Bio.  Read on to see the products I was lucky enough to try.

Cutieverse is also offering a special giveaway for Cat JL readers. Learn more about this awesome freebie at the end of this post.

cutieverse3Hurraw Tinted Cinammon Lip Balm: I’ve seen quite a few of my yogi friends pull out a stick of Hurraw! balm this year, so I was definitely curious to try this oval-shaped lip wonder. If you’re a fan of Big Red chewing gum, then you’ll love this lip balm. It goes on smooth and has the tiniest hint of tint (your partner can borrow it and it won’t be a shock). It’s not very spicy but definitely keeps lips soft.

cutieverse4Marilou Bio Moisturizing Body Milk:  This French certified organic lotion is definitely rich. It has a smell that can best be described as a bunch of herbs put into a blender, but it thankfully fades to something quite nice after a few minutes on the dermis. It’s a little too rich for use during our tropical days, but makes a nice addition to a night-time routine that leaves you with softer skin in the morning.

cutieverse1Merry Hempsters Organic Rescue Salve: This solid stick of hemp, lavender, and clove oils pressed together is said to soothe irritated skin. It’s great to have around if you’re a fan of the outdoors. I rubbed a little on a mosquito bite Fin had on his knee and it helped calm the redness. It’s also nice that it feels cool on the skin.

cutieverse5Raw Elements Eco Formula 30+ Lotion: I love sunblocks. Especially if they use physical barriers like Titanium Dioxide or Zinc Oxide. This thick lotion is extremely moisturizing, leaves a whitish cast on the skin, and smells like toasted brown rice (I’m serious). But after a few minutes it goes clear and protects quite well. It left my skin smoother after a few laps in the pool. Not bad. would like to offer eight lucky readers based in the Philippines a sample of their products. Here’s how:

1 Leave a comment below letting us know which of their products you’d like to try. Yup, it’s that easy. Feel free to check out their site and choose other products from there.

2 Cutieverse will choose eight readers at random and contact them directly via email to ask where to send the samples. (a minimal shipping cost may be requested)

3 Deadline for submissions is October 30.
