Happy Monday

CatLucy

Hi, everyone. How was your week?

I thought it might be best to send a little love and appreciation to my original baby Lucy today.

When we first brought Fin back from Sydney last December, I have to admit that I was little worried about how our Bostons would take to having this tiny new addition to our family. I’m happy to report that all three of them, especially Lucy, have been wonderful. She patiently gets out of his way when he’s on explorer mode, lets him stroke her ears and back, and knows that it’s time to get off the bed when he’s around.

It’s hard to believe she’s already nine. She’s been the most amazing furry companion I’ve ever had and I can’t fathom a time when I won’t have her. Lucy and I been to Cebu, Boracay, Siargao, and Pagudpud numerous times together. She’s ridden hours with me on a motorcycle, walked the cobblestone streets of Vigan,  and I even put her inside my bag, with her head sticking out, as I took photos of the Pahiyas Festival.

Time is a little harsher on friends like her. Her eyesight is going, but that doesn’t stop her from wanting to greet us every time we come home and just sit beside us on the dinner table for a little scratch behind the ears and a cuddle when she’s cold.

Okay, I think I’m getting a tad too emotional to continue. Give your furry loves a hug and have a wonderful week.
