Happy Monday

YStleXHi, everyone. How was your week?

This snap was taken last Monday during the YStyle Turns 10 Party.

My gorgeous date Wanggo and I were asked by  YStyle’s power editor Bea Ledesma to join the fun and celebrate its decade long run as Friday’s most trendy section of the Philippine Star. I used to contribute quite regularly to their awesome pages, so deciding to step out and show my support was an easy choice to make.

YStyle has consistently highlighted Philippine talent, so I felt that coming to the event decked in local garbs was the only way to go. I wore a draped emerald dress by always immaculate designer Mich Araullo (I’m serious, I’ve never seen her look like she didn’t belong in a shoot) and it fit like a dream. The clutch is from Rags 2 Riches, a social enterprise that’s been making waves internationally.

It was an unusual way to start my week and when the lights were off and the party came to an end, I was happy to head home to my two boys and a planner full of writing assignments and meetings. Hope you had an eventful last few days as well. I’d love to read about it in the comments box below.

Here are my pick of things you may enjoy from around the web:
