Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup

My new favorite foundation.

I first heard about this product through my friend Divasoria on her Instagram page. She, along with many other friends, praised this product to the high heavens, so the beauty editor in me had to investigate.

I’m happy to report that it didn’t disappoint.

  • Heavily tinted, so you need just a few drops for the entire face.
  • Gives sheer yet buildable coverage. Looks like your skin, but better.
  • Use it with a highlighting primer to get a dewy look. I rub a dollop of MAC Strobe Cream beforehand and the effect is gorgeous.
  • Spreads easily with just your fingers.
  • Doesn’t break me out.

  • Doesn’t offer staying power for long, humid days.
  • Sensitive skin types might be irritated by the alcohol content.
  • Not enough sunblock protection.
  • Not cheap.
  • Can’t buy it locally. Closest place to try it personally is probably Hong Kong.

If you feel the pros outweigh the cons, you can check out this great review for Maestro with lots of swatches.

In case this helps, I am an NC 40 in MAC Studio Fix Fluid and Maestro shade 7 fits me perfectly.
