Beauty: Almond Soaps

“What are your recent make-up discoveries that you know you’ll include in your ‘i-will-love-this-for-a-long time’ list? Thanks.” formspring

I’ve always been a ‘bar soap’ kind of girl. As some of you might remember I mentioned during my interview with Divasoria for her glossy series.

But I’ve recently discovered that my preference in scents has changed. Where I used to prefer citrus or mint, I now lean towards warmer notes like vanilla or my new love, almonds.

Since the start of this year, I’ve been using Dr. Bronner’s Almond Bar Soap and have really loved the switch. Just a few weekends ago, we were over at the small town of Bowral where I found these big chunks of almond soap for 4$ (less than 200 pesos)

Their fragrance is a little stronger than Dr. Bronner’s, but they make my bathroom smell warm and heavenly. I wish people back home in the Philippines made soaps this big and yummy.

I know your question requested I talk about makeup, but my makeup kit has been quite sparse and without any new goodies recently. If there’s anything worth mentioning, it’s that I’ve rediscovered Laura Mercier’s SPF20 Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer and I don’t think I’ll ever go without it again.
