Last November (yes, I am super super delayed with this post!), I was thrilled to get an invite from Martine De Luna (the wonder woman who helped make my blog’s revamp a reality) to attend one of her much anticipated Make It Blissful Workshops.

UnstylingThis workshop was rather special because it was in collaboration with two other power women in the realm of styling and events. Kitty Bunag of Craftsmith Living and Grace Baja aka The Spoiled Mummy.

IMG_6459The event was held at beautiful La Creperie at Salcedo Village, which was photogenic from every angle. I fell in love with their chevron wooden floors. You also have to try their special The Spoiled Mummy Crepe, it is so decadent.

IMG_6495Speaker, Kitty Bunag, is a stylist extraordinaire who can turn the most simple items into beautiful home accessories. Her store, Craftsmith Living, in Salcedo Village is definitely not to be missed. Every corner is such a joy to look at. Here are some wonderful tips I took from Kitty’s talk:

  • Appreciate the beauty of everyday things.
  • Take life a little slower.
  • Pick a tone, then choose a splash of color to compliment it.
  • Don’t be afraid to mix eras, textures, and patterns (you can anchor the look with color palettes)
  • Look in unusual places for inspiration. (for example: take the colors of a butterfly and translate it into a corner of your house)
  • Use Olio-boards or Pinterest to create your mood boards for inspiration.
  • Trust your instinct. If it gives you peace, run with it.

Here are some of my pictures from the workshop:

Always fresh Patty Laurel-Filart was one of the guests at the workshop as well.

Grace and Martine spoiled all participants by handing out luxurious loot bags for us to try:
