Things I am grateful for after this weekend:

1. How in the last half a decade, my parents and I have become more like a barkada. I love their friends and they love mine. 

2. I have a partner who can get along with anybody. Old, young, or furry. Even my sungit dog loves him. 

3. I have friends who I might not see or hear from in months, but when we’re together absolutely nothing changes. They still make me laugh till my face hurts. 

4. From lamb paella to melt in your mouth mochi ice cream balls, I am convinced the sun and water in Cali just makes food taste incredible. 

5. I must have done it a hundred times, but lying on the dock in Caliraya will be one of my happiest activities in this lifetime.
