themistsofavalonIt’s in our nature to love a flawed hero.

Perfect, blemish-free characters are hard to sympathize with and are often worthy of nothing more than a yawn. Give me a protagonist with a heavy amount of conflict any day of the week.

Which is why this classic tale of Camelot told from the eyes of the women in all their imperfect glory appeals to me more than the shiny, spotless armour of a knight of the round table. I read this book in college and it is still one of my favorites. If stories like Wicked appeal to you, I highly recommend grabbing this story and the rest in her series.

You’ll finish it accepting that perfection is overrated, being a woman with substance is much more enjoyable.
