If there’s any proof to how much my kids love travelling, it’s by how often they beg to stay at a hotel. Fin even has his own rating system as to what makes an awesome hotel vacation: Does the breakfast buffet have Coco-Crunch? Is there a bathtub? Does their cable have Disney Junior? Yes, my kids certainly enjoy the staycation life.
Recently, so we decided to try Seda BGC for Fin’s birthday weekend because of two reasons:
- We had an amazing experience at Seda Hotels in Nuvali last year (you can read about that staycation here), so we knew the quality of the hotel would be up to standard.
- Because it was so close to a number of fun activities for kids in the Bonifacio Global City.
I’m happy to report that our staycation didn’t disappoint. Here’s why Seda BGC should be your stop for a fun weekend in the city with your little people.
Great amenities: Seda BGC boasts a pool, fitness center, skyline bar, and yummy restaurant. If you are getting a deluxe room you also have access to their Executive Club Bar where you have a wonderful breakfast spread, afternoon tea/merienda, and evening cocktails waiting for you every day. Throughout the entire hotel, you’re also greeted by gorgeous local artwork and furniture by notable artists like Ann Paminutan, Kenneth Cobonpue, Tom Epperson, and Jaime Zobel de Ayala.
Great Location: If you’re looking for a centralised location in BGC, it can’t get any better than Seda Hotels. It’s walking distance from Bonifacio High Street, Kidzania, Active Fun, and Adventure Zone. I assure you that your kids will be wiped out by the end of the day. And if you don’t feel like heading out. The pool at the hotel is equally fun!
Cozy Rooms: The rooms were spacious enough to fit our family of four plus our two wonder yayas, M&M, comfortably. For a family of our size, I would highly recommend getting the Suite Room, which is a corner bedroom plus living room with kitchenette. It also has a spacious bathroom with a bathtub, which is an added fun activity for your little people.
Delicious Food: We ordered room service which was yummy and every breakfast we had didn’t disappoint! I highly recommend their super yummy tapa and warm taho for breakfast! I think I almost squealed when I saw taho!
With such great service and amenities, it’s not surprising that Seda BGC has won various awards and citations such as “Certificate of Excellence” from Tripadvisor in 2016, 2015, and 2015, “Certificate of Recognition” from Hotels.com, and “Award of Excellence” from Booking.com—all for garnering excellent guest reviews. Seda was also cited as “Philippines’ Leading Hotel Group” in the World Travel Awards (2015 and 2014), and earned the same recognition in the Luxury Travel Guide “Global Awards” (2016 and 2015), both UK- based. As well, it was a finalist in the “Service Excellence” category of the 2015 Asia CEO Awards.
All in all, I think it’s safe to say my little family and I had a really wonderful time at Seda BGC. I can’t recommend it enough to families looking for a place to call home while in BGC to do all the fun activities that bustling city has to offer!
