With the fine baristas of Magnum Opus.
This little picture was caught last weekend by my friend Kristin while we were having coffee at Magnum Opus.
When the owner Jonathan heard that I spent six months of my Sydney life as a barista, he invited me behind the counter to make a cup.
So was it as easy as getting back on a bike? No.
Pulling a shot: too easy.
Frothing the milk: not bad.
Making latte art: FAIL.
Jonathan was kind enough to invite me to practice at the cafe whenever possible. So if you see me at Magnum Opus with my brow furrowed in concentration surrounded by my own cartons of milk, feel free to say hello.
So is this where we need to get our coffee while in Manila? I’ll definitely miss getting my cuppa here in Sydney! I was told it’s extremely hard to get good coffee back there.
You heard right! Good coffee is hard to come by in Manila. Very grateful to have Magnum nearby. We’ll definitely take you guys here. 🙂
Been a fan of your blog since 2009 and actually told Jon that I found it so cool that you made a latte in his shop! He and I used to be officemates prior to his discovery of [good] coffee. 🙂
