If there’s one thing you can say about the Filipino people, it’s that we are a grateful bunch.
On this note, here is a heartwarming video recently released by the DOT showing our deepest gratitude towards those who helped us during Typhoon Yolanda.
I hope you allow me to beam with pride that the husband co-directed this very real clip. No actors, no set-ups, just real residents of typhoon struck areas like Bantayan Island, Bohol, and Cebu along with local tourists expressing their honest thanks to the world.
This is how the Philippines says thank you.
Oh wow! I was just thinking that this was a beautiful, beautiful gesture, and so brilliantly filmed. So nice to know Carlo had a big hand in it, clap clap! 🙂
Aww… thanks Pierra! I’m sure he’ll be thrilled to hear that. 😉
That was a real heart moment Cat! Carlo you are a genius. Love love love the simplicity and heartfelt message :)!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by and share your thoughts, Tita Berta! I’ll make sure Carl sees your kind words. 🙂
People read poetry to bathe their forehead in the well of reality. To refresh themselves.
-Paul Durcan
And so, thank you, Carl, for this poetry of moving images– anyone who sees it has not only a wet forehead but a whole body awash in benediction.
Cat, I’ll send the link to all my friends abroad who in one way or another had responded to our national calamity.
Wow this was such a beautiful piece! I really loved how the simplicity transcended through but at the same time there was depth and also beauty/sincerity too. I would love to see this developed into a longer documentary film! Love your blog and your writing. 🙂
Thank you for taking the time to share such lovely thoughts. I’ll be sure my husband sees your kind words. 🙂
