What’s not to love about brunch? It’s that perfect golden time in the day when you’re no longer struggling to stay awake or harassed that half the day is done. And there is no better way to enjoy brunch than with girlfriends: good food, good conversation, time to spare. What more could you ask for? A few Saturday ago, I had the privilege of joining a Mothers Who Brunch event that combined all the wonderful things mentioned above.
Started by power team Sabrina Cristobal-Go of Sinfully Sabrina and Michelle Ressa-Aventajado of Momma’NManila, Mothers Who Brunch is a chance for moms to spend a lovely weekend morning learning from each other, partaking in incredible food, and discovering a number of amazing local brands. MWB events are always tastefully done with the right mix of a formal program and enough time for casual chats. The latest one was held at the Crate & Barrel store at SM Makati which was filled with so many gorgeous home accessories (I’m seriously still dreaming about the orange rug I saw).
I arrived at the event with half of the Baby Barangay (Nicole & Bianca) and we had a great time sipping bellinis while listening to talks by Beng & Maricel of The Parenting Emporium (the most complete parenting store in Manila) about how to make the holidays memorable and top photographer Sheila Catilo on how to capture special moments.
