When Nikki Naynes, brand manager for Lancôme Paris in the Philippines, let me know that she was sending over some of their latest products I was thrilled. Little did I know that “some of their latest products” meant a super wide selection for my friends and I to play with. Yes, we were in 7th heaven.
Lancôme is one of those brands you know that never puts a stop on quality. Their foundations and anti-aging serums are always on various beauty magazines’ top 10 beauty lists and rightfully so, they’ve have been around since 1935 and know exactly what they’re doing. Here are some of the products my friends and I were able to review from their latest makeup collection:
L’Absolu Rouge lipsticks (left to right): Rose Damascena (334), Rose Lancôme (368), Rose Mignonne (212), Rouge Carrousel (349), Rouge Amour (160)
Creamy sticks of color that aren’t too matte or rich. My mom fell in love with Rouge Carousel which was was a friendly shade of red, while my sister-in-law promptly nabbed Rouge Amour which offers that perfect punch to a night out. (1,395PHP each)
Blush Subtil (left to right): Very Rose (023) and Peau de Péche (003)
Don’t be fooled by the burst of color. These blushes are so finely milled that each stroke gives an incredible natural flush to the apples of your cheeks without looking dramatic. I tried Very Rose and it gave my skin a beautiful, healthy glow. You can see it below. (2,295PHP each)
City Miracle CC Cream (left to right) 001 and 002
This cream is super duper light. Definitely best for people who want to have super sun protection throughout their day without adding stickiness or extreme coverage to their skin. If you already have pretty good skin, this is a great daily moisturiser to have in your arsenal. 002 is the lighter shade and 001 fits my MAC NC40 skin tone quite well. (1,995PHP each)
Here I am road testing the products for a quick natural look:
Face: City Miracle CC Cream in 001 (I love how my freckles still can be seen when I use this)
Blush: Blush Subtil in Very Rose 023 (told you the the color is very natural. One compact will last you forever!)
Lipstick: L’Absolu Rouge in Rose Mignonne 212 (This is a beautiful nude that is perfect for every day use)
