The future’s so bright, we’re going to wear white.
This snap with our dear friend Amanda (soon to be Mrs. Santos), was taken last Saturday during Paracosm: an art exhibit by talented brothers Roman and Angelo Padilla. Their art work is dark, whimsical, and intricate. I highly recommend checking it out till April 20 at The Collective.
Carl and I are falling more and more in love with Filipino art this year. If you have any artists you think we should know about, let me know! I always enjoy featuring local artists on the site as well.
Don’t forget to join my ANMA Lifestyle giveaway. It’s going to be ending next week.

My cousin Gregory Halili is now based there in Manila. He’s been painting skull images on mother of pearl.

I love his work! Would he be open to being featured kaya? 🙂

thanks for the promoting and we you enjoyed the PARACOSM EXHIBIT :))
We enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for having us there. 🙂
Funny, the hubby and I have been spending a lot of time in art galleries these past couple of weeks. We’re building a house and in turn would also like to build our art collection. Have to start early, right?
In any case, right now, I am crazy about the paintings of Aner Sebastian. You can see samples of his work by following this link: http://renaissanceart.sproads.com/post/ecolorgy-2012.
I also like Jonathan Ranola’s whimsical art: https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Art-of-Jonathan-Ranola/158682677641502

I guess it comes with our age. 😛
Hi Cat, you might be interested to see my friends Mark and Johanna from Happy Garaje. You can check out their site at http://www.happygaraje.com . They’re a husband and wife team and they’re amazing!
Among their many beautiful works, they hand-crafted this life-sized version of the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones made entirely out of toys: http://happygaraje.com/portfolio/children-kings/
Enjoy!
Thank you for the head’s up! I’ll be sure to check them out. 🙂
