Tucked into the Commercenter Building in Filinvest Alabang is Fringe Salon, an oasis that’s definitely worth a visit.

Fringe Salon opened in October of 2013 and promptly began to make a name for itself as the ideal stop for hair treatments and high quality massages in the south. Owner, Evelyn Tagle, paid attention to every detail when she decided to make her dream of owning her very own salon a reality.

I was invited by lovely PR duo Michelle Aventejado and Patricia Cuyuga to try Fringe for myself. I was happy to discover other southern ladies were invited as well.

So True Naturals founder Mia Rocha Lauchengco chose to have her hair cut and styled during our morning of pampering. You can read my post on her pure castile soaps here.

It was so great to catch up with popular podcast host Karrots Nazareno, who gave me tons of good tips on a project I’ll be launching soon. Check out her hilarious show here. Karrots chose to get the foot spa treatment. I chose to do the same. How awesome is this Cadillac foot spa chair? We both wanted to take it home!

I opted for a hair therapy treatment and the foot spa. The stylist massaged my hair and scalp with a rich hair mask (more on this below) and then steamed my hair to make sure all those good-for-my-strands nutrients soaked in. You can tell that my R2R Buslo bag is my favorite for mornings on the go. Proudly Philippine made.

My hair spa treatment was courtesy of L’Oreal’s professional range. My hair seriously felt like silk after.

The foot spa massage chair comes with a remote control to give you that perfect neck and back rub. A perfect option for those that aren’t comfortable with old fashioned massages.

We were also offered an assortment of sweet bites by Maricel Mendoza of Sweet Cottage. Maricel specialises in event styling for children’s parties, treats and dessert buffet setup and styling, and decorative fondant cakes for special celebrations. A private room for treatments you’d rather do without curious eyes. For instance, waxing and maybe even threading treatments. They also have a room that can accommodate a handful of ladies for the ideal spa party venue.

A private massage room that has its own jacuzzi for full body scrubs and other decadent spa treatments.

It’s important to note that Fringe only uses MAC makeup and Cuccio organic nail polish in their services.
