My little family and I were recently invited to try Cocina Peruvia, one of the newest kids on the food block at Bonifacio Global City. Peruvian in inspiration, this colourful little restaurant is locally grown with dishes designed by well-loved chefs in the industry like Chef Him of I Am Kim fame (read my review of I Am Kim here).

Here are some pictures the dishes we were offered to try (text in bold is how it is described in the menu):

Ceviche Nikkei *salmon*jackfish*soy*coconut milk*citrus juice*

We love ceviche. And the tangy flavor of this recipe paired with the freshness of the salmon was no exception. The coconut milk was a nice touch too.

Anticuchos Corazon *beef heart*aji Amarillo sauce*chimichurri
This was our first time to try beef heart, and I actually didn’t know what to expect. This proved to taste just like tenderloin and went perfectly with the chimichurri it was served with.

Anticuchos de salmon *salmon*aji anticuchos*chimichurri

These salmon skewers were also very well seasoned and super tasty. The fish was cooked to perfection without any dry flaking in sight.

Pollo ala parilla *chicken*corn*chimichurri
A hearty, slightly spicy, baked chicken dish where the meat was moist and full of flavor.

Adobo Peruvia *pork belly*onions
This dish was definitely our favorite and one that I can’t wait to have again soon. Tender pork belly, so soft that it can be cut with a spoon, bathed in creamy adobo sauce. Perfection.

Arroz verde con pollo *rice*chicken*cilantro
My husband is a huge cilantro fan, so this delicious rice was a hit. It also went perfectly with the pork belly adobo above. I highly recommend ordering both dishes.

Galera de chocolate *tortilla*blue chips*figs*syrup
We thought there would be no way we would have space for dessert, till this pretty little creation came out. The chips gave a nice crunch to the whole dessert and it had just the right amount of sweetness.

Here are some additional snaps from our lunch. The blue one at Cocina Peruvia was too pretty not to use for pictures.
