A few months ago, I was introduced to a new Cebu based brand called Madison + Reese. I fell in love with the super comfy blue pin-striped dress I got from them and had to learn more.

This dress has been my go-to for many occasions; whether it be work or running errands around the city, I know I’m covered. I recently got another beautiful dress from them that I couldn’t help but fall in love with. The embroidery on this one made me have hearts in my eyes for days.

I asked Madison + Reese’s oner KD Syiaco to share a little more about the brand and the items they carry. Here are her answers and some pictures from Madison + Reese’s social media pages:

Why the name Madison + Reese?
It’s actually the name of my eldest daughter, Madison Reese so this brand is really close to my heart. I’ve always loved the name Madison, reminds me of my trips to New York before I got married. Now that I gave birth to my second daughter whose name is Riley Summer, I should’ve just named it Madison + Riley. Haha!

How would you best describe the clothes you carry?
The clothes are sourced from abroad. I personally handpick the styles that will make up the collection. Since we also have a branch in Cebu that also sells Soak Swimwear, the clothes chosen are diverse; from city wear to beach wear. I used to source clothes based on my style which was a bit for club wear or a bit on the pre-baby body. Now that I’m a mom, my style has evolved so now I make sure I have both- trendy & fun for the young ones & classic yet sophisticated for the more mature ones especially for the young moms.

Which pieces are your best sellers?
The embroidered button down polos are our bestsellers especially for mommies and mature women. It’s fun, versatile and classy. Sometimes when you’re lazy to dress up, button downs are your best bet. Our dresses are also selling well. The stocks are limited so it gets sold out fast. Also, our resortwear pieces do well, I guess because we share the store with our other brand called Soak Swimwear.

What can people expect from your brand in the coming months/years?
Madison + Reese is still a baby. The brand still has a lot of room for growth. We’re looking forward to more styles per collection. We are also looking forward to developing our online store. Right now, we are only mostly selling in our stores in Manila and Cebu. We want to grow our reach to all over the Philippines so we are targeting to develop our online presence.

How often do your collections change?
Our collection changes twice per season. For peak like summer or during Christmas, we sometimes update the collection thrice.

Who are the celebrities/influencers who are crazy about your pieces?
Since the brand just started, we haven’t really made an effort yet to introduce our brand to known celebrities & influencers, maybe just a handful…like our favorite/ go to ones like Kryz Uy, Camille Co & Patty Laurel.
