Have you ever heard of eating a chocolate cake with a sprinkle of sea salt and a drizzle of olive oil?

Neither did I, till my birthday weekend.

My wonder-woman friend Trish, a well loved food blogger here in Sydney, came over to our place and surprised us with the most incredible chocolate cake you could ever partake of.

It had just the right amount of bittersweet cacao, decadent ganache, and richness unheard of in these parts of the world. Each bite (to be eaten with a few crunchy granules of salt and the unmistakable swirly taste of olive oil) danced on our tongues and made us dream of lands where calories don’t exist.

If you’re a baker and are interested to learn how to make the cake for yourself. I highly recommend checking out Trish’s site for the recipe.  Please let Trish and I know how it goes. I’m sure she’d love to hear from you. 🙂
