I wasn’t sure my friend Denise of Indigo Baby had my best intentions at heart when she sent me a hefty bar of chocolate to review. My hips were pleading with me to stop being friends with her.
But upon further research, I was happy to discover that this local bar of cacao bliss is healthier for you than most of its cousins found on your standard grocery shelves.
Coco Dolce is a local chocolate brand based in Davao. They make their products with finely milled cocoa beans, pure organic coco sugar, and virgin coconut oil. It’s a chocolate bar that’s kinder on your heart and hopefully your waistline too.
It had just the right amount of sweetness, was rich and creamy, and had a faint nutty texture. It tastes to me like the love child of a Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar and a Choc Nut.
