The Parent Files Season 3 Episode 4 | Santa Claus & The Tooth Fairy

As the parent to a four year old, Santa Claus is very much alive in our house. But I’ve always been curious to know if other parents have decided on the Santa Claus route as well and if this is something that’s going to back fire on us as parents in the future.

In this episode of The Parent Files, I decided to ask our guests whether they introduced characters like Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, and Three Kings to their children and if they found this to be a tradition worth keeping. Watch the episode here.

  1. I’ve always believed in the power of magic and mystery, and how these can develop a sense of wonder and beauty deep inside our children’s heart, mind, soul and being. My girls who are now 18 and 19 years old, grew up with santa claus, st nicholas, the tooth fairy, the easter bunny and the 3 kings. Our rituals would not dwell on the gifts alone but on the festival itself, complete with a story, some props from nature and hand-made gifts. They never really told me when they found out these weren’t true anymore but now in their young adulthood, they have remained lovers of nature, and the beauty of simple things. They are always in awe of their surroundings and are seekers of adventure and fun. I hope they will continue these rituals when they have children of their own.
