Why I’m Loving My Fitbit Blaze

photo-10-12-2016-3-08-27-pm2016 was the year I decided to be healthier and I’m happy to report that I did live up to this resolution. I ate better, took the right supplements, gave more importance to sleep, and friends and I committed to group circuit training sessions with an awesome coach twice a week.

And that is why I love the Fitbit Blaze (pictured on my wrist above). It helped make that promise easy enough to do.

photo-23-12-2016-7-53-17-amThe Fitbit Blaze is a smart fitness watch designed to help you embrace a healthier lifestyle and incorporate activity into your daily routine. Because fitness isn’t just about taking an aero class or signing up to a gym, it’s about making movement a priority in your everyday life.

photo-02-12-2016-8-53-50-amMany people don’t realize that the human body is actually designed to take 10,000 steps a day. The average individual with a desk job doesn’t even do half of that. This where the Fitbit can help. This square watch will remind you to move every hour, tell you when it’s time to wind down at night, and calculate how many steps you’ve taken throughout the day.

photo-23-12-2016-7-57-25-amThe Fitbit Blaze takes all of five minutes to sync up to your smart phone and from there you’re ready to use a number of its settings. Here is a description of what it can do according to the Fitbit Website:

PurePulse™ Heart Rate
Elevate workouts with continuous heart rate and simplified zones—all without an uncomfortable chest strap.

Connected GPS

Fitbit Blaze uses SmartTrack to automatically recognize and record exercises for you, so you’ll get credit for a workout even if you forget to log it.

Workout Goals + Summaries
Get an on-screen summary of each workout after you complete it, then check the Fitbit app to see how you’re progressing toward your weekly exercise goals.

photo-02-12-2016-8-53-03-amReminders to Move
To help you stay active during the day, Blaze sends Reminders to Move that encourage you to take 250 steps every hour.

Multi-Faceted Clock Faces
Fitbit Blaze has a hi-res color touchscreen with a variety of faces to choose from.

Accessory Bands + Frames
Easily alternate your bands and frames to change your style throughout the day.

Personally , I love using it reach 10,000 steps (seriously not as easy as I thought). I also love how it syncs to my phone so I can get urgent text messages anywhere without having to lift my phone. I really appreciate as well how the battery life is around 5 days. Unlike another smart watch brand which I heard needs to be recharged almost daily. Fitness aside, I also love how it comes with a leather strap so I can use it during my regular work day without looking like I’m about to run a triathlon.
