Giveaway: Neil Gaiman’s Chu’s First Day of School

One of the favorite phrases my husband and I love to hear our two year old son say is, “Read a book please.” We really love how he’s now in this age where he curls up beside us, sits patiently, and listens to us share stories of new and exciting places.

So you can imagine how happy I was to receive this wonderful children’s book to read to him, by one of of my favorite authors no less.

Chu2Meet Chu: an adorable panda who is just a little nervous about his first day of school.

Chu’s First Day of School is a beautifully illustrated children’s book written by none other than Neil Gaiman and illustrated by Adam Rex. It’s the perfect tale to read to a child just about to embark on their first day in a new school setting. It follows little Chu on his first day as he listens to his various classmates share something they love to do.

What I love about this book is that it’s not extremely wordy and it’s just the right length for a read right before bed time. Smart children’s authors know that these two things are super important when composing their stories.
