Clarins Body Lift Cellulite Control

blogclarinsSummer is most definitely here in the Philippines, which means it’s time to play and display our bodies in the least amount of clothing possible. *Cringe*

No one wants to put on a bikini only to discover that you’ve got quite a bit of orange skin puckering happening behind. It’s happened to me in the past, especially in badly lit dressing rooms. No fun. Which is why I was more than happy to receive this bottle of Clarins Body Lift Cellulite Control from the lovely Mica Agdamag at Rustan’s The Beauty Source.

What it is: A cellulite cream that can be used to help prevent cellulite before it shows and diminish the dimples you already have. 88% of women who used it regularly for 4 weeks said they noticed much less visual cellulite.

Active ingredients:

  • Celosia Cristata Extract and Aquatic Mint Extract : Body refining plant extracts that target the fatty tissue to help prevent cellulite.
  • Blue Button Flower Extract: Helps to correct the appearance of existing and stubborn cellulite.
  • Baccharis Extract: Firms and tones by supporting natural collagen production.

What it doesn’t have: Parabens and Sulfates

Consistency: Cream is white and slightly watery. It goes on the skin easily and dries quickly. It’s also extremely cooling.

Fragrance: Floral and menthol. A tad strong for my taste. But I don’t think fragrance should be a main priority if the product works.

I don’t believe in miracles in a bottle. You can’t just sit on your butt, eating anything you want, and expect this potion to do everything. You need to pair it with exercise to see significant results.

In the three weeks I used it, I felt the skin on my thighs feel tighter and I was able to slide into a really tight pair of black jeans that I thought I would have to give away soon. If you’re in the market for a good cellulite treatment, this is a good start.
